Authorities in the Czech Republic have detained two additional individuals as part of the investigation into an arson attack on a factory in Pardubice. The fire occurred on March 20 at a complex owned by LPP Holding, a Czech defence group.
A pro-Palestinian activist group, previously unknown, has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group stated that the targeted company was developing weapons for Israel. LPP Holding had announced plans to cooperate with Elbit Systems in 2023, though these plans were reportedly never implemented.
This incident has led to multiple detentions. Previously, five individuals were detained, including citizens of Egypt and the United States. Polish authorities also detained two Polish citizens. The latest detentions include a person held in Bulgaria, for whom extradition will be requested. The factory in question produces drones that are exported to Ukraine for use in its ongoing conflict with Russia.
