Summary
- Two accused arrested in Rajasthan for cyber fraud.
- Over Rs 1.08 lakh siphoned from a victim's account.
- Unauthorised access gained by hacking victim's phone.

Sonipat police successfully dismantled an inter-state cyber fraud syndicate responsible for hacking mobile phones and stealing more than Rs 1.08 lakh from a victim's bank account. The operation led to the arrest of two accused, identified as Sita Ram and Yuvraj, apprehended in Ajmer and Jaipur, Rajasthan, respectively. This breakthrough followed a technical and intelligence-driven investigation initiated after a complaint filed on December 6, 2025.
The fraudsters gained unauthorized access to the victim's mobile device, exploiting it to breach her banking credentials. The siphoned funds were then laundered through various accounts, many established using counterfeit documents and fabricated digital platforms, underscoring the organized nature of their operations. During the arrests, police recovered a mobile handset and a small amount of cash, with additional funds already frozen in linked bank accounts.
