In the ongoing case of Crystal Beale, who was allegedly murdered and her body dumped in the Brisbane River, prosecutors have received incomplete digital evidence. Seven large device downloads intended for the court were corrupted, preventing access.

Beale is accused of murdering Crystal Beale in West End around February 2025. Evidence suggests he searched for tide times on the night she disappeared, as well as for VPNs and nearby CCTV cameras the following day. He has been charged with murder and misconduct with a corpse.
