CRSU Professors Accused of Rigging Student Grades
12 Mar
Summary
- Four CRSU professors face cheating charges for manipulating student marks.
- Inquiry report by Jind's additional deputy commissioner led to FIR.
- Allegations include awarding high marks to students with low attendance.

Jind police have initiated a cheating investigation against four professors at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU). The case was formally registered following an inquiry report submitted by the additional deputy commissioner of Jind.
Accusations detail significant manipulation of internal marks for first-semester students in the MFA second-year program. Reports indicate that students with notably low attendance and minimal class participation were awarded disproportionately high marks. Conversely, students who consistently attended classes and actively engaged in academic activities received marks lower than anticipated.
Further allegations suggest a pattern of altering original marks, with some officials and employees purportedly changing grades in exchange for money. The original marks provided by teachers were reportedly altered later. Evidence suggests favoritism, including a specific instance where the wife of a teacher, also an MFA student, allegedly received higher marks, indicating unfair evaluation practices.
