In Ahmedabad district, a man and woman were discovered hanging from a neem tree within a temple complex on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Gautam Jadav, 31, and Kinjal Rathod, 20. Both were married and originated from different villages in the area.
Investigators revealed that the duo, employed at a pharmaceutical company, had developed a romantic relationship. Approximately 15 days prior to their discovery, they reportedly eloped from their respective homes, and their whereabouts had been unknown to family members since then.
The discovery was made by locals who alerted the police. A large crowd gathered at the scene, prompting discussions about suicide versus foul play. Police have sent the bodies for postmortem examination and are conducting a thorough investigation, including reviewing call records and statements from family and colleagues.
