Couple Denies Murder Charges in Baby's Death

A man and woman accused in connection with the death of a one-year-old child have denied a raft of new charges. Isabella Stasiak passed away in hospital on January 7, having become unwell at a house in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Michal Stasiak, 26, and Kinga Wydrzynska, 24, both of Rugby, were initially charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a baby. Appearing at Warwick Crown Court, they pleaded not guilty to additional charges including two counts of sexual assault and three counts of child abuse against three other children.
Stasiak had previously admitted possessing indecent images of a child. The pair's trial has been scheduled for October 6 at Warwick Crown Court, where they will face all joined counts. Both have been remanded in custody.
