In a tragic turn of events near Pune, Siya Goyal, 20, and her lover Chetan Chaudhary, 22, are accused of murdering Goyal's fiancé, Ketan Agarwal. The alleged crime took place at Lohagad Fort on June 18.
Investigators revealed that the couple's original plan was to injure Agarwal to postpone his wedding to Goyal, which was scheduled for November in Jaipur. However, they reportedly abandoned this idea, deeming it too dangerous.
The situation escalated as the wedding approached and an eight-day trip to Bali, starting June 6, loomed. Police sources indicate Goyal and Chaudhary feared Agarwal would expose their affair if he survived any attempt to harm him.
Consequently, the couple allegedly changed their plan from injuring Agarwal to eliminating him entirely. Both Goyal and Chaudhary are presently in judicial custody following their arrest.
