Christian Bryant, 22, entered a plea of not guilty to charges of murder and felonious assault during his arraignment in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. The charges stem from the fatal shooting of Randy Corrigan, a 61-year-old employee at a Strongsville Costco, which occurred on April 25.
Bryant was granted a $5 million bond, conditioned upon wearing a GPS monitor and remaining within the state of Ohio should he post bail. He was also ordered to provide a DNA sample. Authorities reported that Bryant was carrying a .40-caliber handgun equipped with a 50-round drum magazine at the time of the incident.
First aid was administered to Corrigan by bystanders before he was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Bryant had previously been indicted for these charges, with a pretrial hearing scheduled for Wednesday. The family of Randy Corrigan was reportedly devastated by the loss.
