Summary

- A former girlfriend alleges Webber had a history of anger and abuse.
- Webber is facing first and second-degree murder charges.

Dayton Webber, a 27-year-old professional cornhole player, has been arrested in Virginia on charges of murder following an incident in Maryland last Sunday. Authorities allege that Webber shot and killed Bradrick Michael Wells inside a Tesla SUV in La Plata. Following the shooting, Webber is accused of driving away with Wells still in the vehicle before the body was discovered in a yard in Charlotte Hall.
Webber's arrest has drawn attention due to his physical condition, having lost all four limbs as a child. However, new accounts from his former girlfriend, Tori Mattingly, shed light on his alleged temperament. Mattingly, who dated Webber for four years until February 2025, described him as having frequent angry outbursts and refusing therapy. She shared a video purportedly showing his aggressive side and stated that their relationship ended because he was unwilling to change.
Mattingly also revealed she later became involved with Wells. She has publicly criticized those defending Webber, asserting that they did not witness the extent of his anger, control, and alleged abuse during their relationship. Charging documents indicate the shooting followed a heated argument within the car, with witnesses reportedly fleeing the scene. Webber is currently awaiting extradition to Maryland to face first and second-degree murder charges, as well as a firearms charge.
