A 25-year-old man, David Gallagher, has been formally charged with the murder of his mother, Stella Gallagher, and the assault causing harm to his father, Brian Gallagher. The incidents allegedly occurred at their residence in Shrewsbury Downs, Cork, on November 17. Mr. Gallagher appeared before Cork District Court, where he was remanded in custody.
Gardai arrested and detained Mr. Gallagher for questioning. During the court appearance, evidence of arrest, charge, and caution was presented. Stella Gallagher tragically died at Cork University Hospital following the alleged stabbing.
