Four Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) constables deployed at the Rajrappa Temple in Ramgarh district were suspended on Monday. This action was taken after a video surfaced on social media, showing the officers allegedly beating a devotee on Sunday. The confrontation occurred during a period of heavy rush at the temple.
According to temple priests, the incident began when a devotee attempted to enter the temple through an exit gate, leading to a dispute with the constables. While one priest noted a senior citizen was permitted entry on humanitarian grounds, others in the family tried to force their way, escalating the argument.
