On October 24th, 2025, just a day after Diwali, a tragic incident occurred in Kalol, Gujarat. A 6-month-old baby, Shahrukh Khan, was abducted from near the Chhatral Bridge while his mother, Kala Mir, and family were out shopping. The mother briefly stepped away to buy medicine, leaving the infant with her family. During this short time, an unidentified woman in a green saree snatched the baby and fled towards the bridge.
When Mir returned, she was horrified to find her child missing. She immediately raised an alarm, and the Gandhinagar police, led by Deputy Inspector Virendra Singh Yadav and Inspector R.R. Parmar, sprang into action. Over the next 18 hours, the police deployed multiple teams, reviewed CCTV footage, and conducted technical surveillance across Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, and up to the Rajasthan border.
Their relentless efforts paid off when they tracked the kidnapper, a childless woman named Madhi, to Meda Adraj in Mehsana. There, they found her with the abducted child and detained her. She confessed to the kidnapping, stating that she was desperate for a child of her own. The police then safely returned the baby to his overjoyed parents, as the residents of the area and the family showered flowers on the cops and the child.
