Convicted Killer Arrested for Burglary in Delhi

On September 21, 2025, a 52-year-old man was arrested for allegedly burgling a businessman's house in southeast Delhi's Bhogal area. The man, identified as Mohammad Nazran, had previously served a 13-year jail term in Bengaluru for killing his wife.

According to the complaint filed by the businessman, he had left his residence around 1 pm on September 20th. When he returned, he found that the main entrance latch was broken, and the house had been ransacked. Several gold ornaments worth Rs 30 lakh, including four gold sets, two chains, 15 rings, four-five pairs of earrings, five pendants, and a pair of bangles, had been stolen. The businessman also reported the theft of 1600 Qatari Riyals and other documents, including his passport and jewelry bills.

Police investigation led them to Nazran, a resident of Ajmeri Gate in Old Delhi. He was apprehended from Jama Masjid and confessed to the burglary, along with an associate. A gold locket, which was part of the stolen jewelry, was recovered from Nazran. The two had given the stolen gold to his associate's brother-in-law, a goldsmith in Gokalpuri, for melting and disposal.
