College Student Arrested for Altering Car Plates in Gurgaon

Just two days ago, on November 13th, 2025, a 21-year-old final-year student from Kharkhada village in Rewari was arrested in Gurgaon for reckless driving and illegally modifying his car's license plates.
The accused, Sonu, is a BA final-year student at DPG College. Police received a written complaint about a car being driven erratically on the college premises. When they asked Sonu to stop the vehicle, he halted briefly before attempting to flee. However, he was caught in the process.
During interrogation, Sonu admitted to reckless driving and altering the number plates of his Hyundai Verna car. He had removed the registration numbers and replaced them with the words "blacklisted" on the front plate and "Yadav" on the rear. A case has been registered against him under the relevant sections at the Sadar police station, and the car has been seized.
