Summary
- A woman was jailed for six years for poisoning her colleague's tea.
- Toxic cleaning substances caused severe internal burns to the victim.
- Hidden camera footage captured the calculated act of retaliation.

In a disturbing case of workplace retaliation, Małgorzata W, aged 56, has been sentenced to six years in prison in Poland for a sustained poisoning campaign against a colleague. The calculated plot involved repeatedly adding toxic substances, including cleaning agents, to the victim's unattended tea over a six-week period between November 15 and December 27, 2024.
The 51-year-old victim began experiencing alarming symptoms such as severe stomach pain, breathing difficulties, and fainting, after her drinks started changing color and tasted unpleasant. Medical experts later confirmed serious internal chemical burns to her mouth, esophagus, and stomach, warning that the consequences could have been fatal.
Matters escalated when the victim installed a hidden camera in the workplace kitchen. The footage captured Małgorzata W calmly selecting a cleaning product, spraying it into a tea cup, and attempting to wipe away fingerprints. Investigators linked the motive to the victim having previously reported Małgorzata W for poor work performance.
Another employee, Elzbieta D, was acquitted of charges for allegedly being aware of the plot but failing to report it, as evidence was insufficient. Małgorzata W was found guilty of attempting to cause serious bodily harm, with judges highlighting the premeditated and prolonged nature of her actions.
