Cinema Attack Leaves Man Seriously Injured

A violent incident in Colchester has left a man in his 20s with serious chest and abdominal injuries. The assault took place in Head Street, an area typically bustling with activity, particularly near the Odeon cinema and Walkabout bar.

The attack occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 02:00 GMT. Authorities are stressing the importance of the location, noting that the street would likely have had people present due to its proximity to entertainment venues.

Detective Inspector Tim Coyles urged the public to come forward with any information. He expressed confidence that individuals may have witnessed the assault or observed relevant events before or after the incident, emphasizing the city centre location of the attack.
