Estranged Husband Kills Nurse in Murder-Suicide

Nurse Gabrielle Forman, 30, was fatally shot in her Cohoes, New York apartment on Tuesday, August 18th. Authorities have identified her estranged husband, 37-year-old Jadet Forman, as the shooter, who then died by suicide. Police described the incident as likely stemming from a domestic dispute.

Gabrielle had recently returned to upstate New York from Georgia, where she was celebrating her mother's birthday. According to a relative, she was on a FaceTime call with her mother when Jadet entered the apartment, took the phone, and ended the call.

Jadet Forman used an illegal ghost gun, a firearm lacking a serial number that can be assembled from mail-ordered parts, according to Cohoes Police Chief Todd Waldin. Friends and family remembered Gabrielle as a beloved individual, with her father calling her a "beautiful soul" and her godmother expressing shock and disbelief.
