Eight-Year-Old Witnesses Father's Alleged Murder

In a tragic turn of events on Raksha Bandhan, an eight-year-old girl from Mandla district, Madhya Pradesh, acted as a key witness to a murder. She reported her own father for allegedly killing her uncle. The incident, which occurred on Thursday night in Nevsa village, reportedly stemmed from an argument over cooking food.

The accused father and his elder brother allegedly engaged in a fight that escalated violently. The young girl, who claims to have witnessed the crime, alerted villagers. They then accompanied her to the Bicchiya police station to file a report.

Heavy rainfall hindered their journey, prompting a police team to intercept them en route and bring them back to the village. Police have registered a case and launched a manhunt for the father, who fled the scene after the incident. The body of the deceased has been sent for a postmortem to establish the exact sequence of events.
