19 Mar
Summary
- A convicted child image offender was hired at a nursery two months after his arrest.
- The worker was arrested at his former place of work in Leeds last year.
- Parents were unaware of the crimes until reading a BBC News report.

A nursery worker who was jailed for creating indecent images of children was reportedly hired by a different nursery approximately two months after his arrest. Kristian Parry, aged 26, was taken into custody at his workplace in Leeds in May of last year. Despite this, he subsequently obtained employment in July at a nursery located just eight miles away from his previous place of work.
Parents of children attending both nurseries expressed their profound shock and distress upon discovering Parry's convictions via a BBC News report. They conveyed their upset at not having been previously informed about the situation. West Yorkshire Police have since stated that further inquiries are underway, prompted by information received after Parry's sentencing on Tuesday.
