Judge Delays Trial for Alleged Child Lurer
4 May
Summary
- A judge postponed the trial for a man accused of attempted child abduction.
- The accused allegedly tried to lure three children from their school.
- The next court hearing for the Parkville man is scheduled for June 24.

A Baltimore County judge granted a postponement on Monday in the case of Cameron T. Keelan, a 19-year-old Parkville man. The proceedings were delayed due to a request from defense counsel, who cited the need for more trial preparation time. Keelan is charged with three counts of attempted child abduction stemming from incidents on December 5, 2025.
Prosecutors allege that Keelan approached three children, aged six, seven, and ten, attempting to persuade them to leave their school without parental consent. Court documents state he told the children their parents were not home and wanted them to go with him. Police responded to Immaculate Heart of Mary School after reports of a suspicious person on the property earlier that day.
Keelan has denied any wrongdoing, reportedly telling investigators he would never harm children, citing his past attendance at a sexual assault rehabilitation clinic. No other criminal cases for Keelan were found in Maryland records. He remains in custody without bond, and each misdemeanor charge carries a potential penalty of up to 20 years in prison under Maryland law. The next court hearing is set for June 24.
