Chennai Police Uncover Grisly Triple Murder Linked to Guest Worker

Chennai police uncovered a disturbing triple murder case after finding the body of a guest worker, Gaurav Kumar, abandoned in a sack on January 26. The investigation revealed that Kumar's wife, Minukumari, and their son, Birmani Kumar, were also murdered. The child's body was recovered from the Buckingham Canal, while the woman's body is still being sought.

Investigations indicate that Gaurav Kumar, his wife, and son had returned from Bihar on January 21 and were seeking employment in Chennai. They had stayed with acquaintances while searching for jobs. A confrontation during a drinking session on January 25 led to Gaurav Kumar's death. His wife and son were subsequently killed when they tried to flee.

To conceal their crimes and mislead authorities, the perpetrators dumped Gaurav Kumar's body in a sack in Indira Nagar. The child's body was hidden along the Buckingham Canal, and the woman's body was disposed of near the Indira Nagar MRTS station. Five people, all from Bihar, have been apprehended by the police.
