Chennai Police Nab Kidnappers, Rescue Ransom Victim

In a swift operation, Chennai city police rescued a rice godown owner, S Anandkumar, who was kidnapped for a 2 lakh ransom. The incident occurred near Royapuram on Tuesday, approximately one day after the abduction. Anandkumar was intercepted and forced into an autorickshaw while heading home on Monday night by his former employee and two associates. The abductors immediately demanded a 2 lakh ransom for his safe return. Acting on police guidance, Anandkumar's family agreed to the ransom demand. This allowed police to trace the kidnappers' location. Authorities successfully rescued Anandkumar and apprehended three individuals identified as R Dhanasekar, S Raja, and V Yesudas. Two other accomplices managed to evade capture during the operation.
