The tragic event took place on February 24. Suresh and Radha were consuming alcohol near the lake when an argument erupted. The dispute allegedly began when Radha made disparaging remarks about Suresh's wife.
In a fit of rage, Suresh violently attacked Radha, smashing her head against a wall and striking her with a beer bottle. The assault proved fatal, and Radha died at the scene. Suresh subsequently abandoned her body by the lake.
Authorities were alerted on February 25 when the body was discovered. It was transported to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for a postmortem examination. Following an investigation into the incident, police successfully arrested Suresh on Sunday, bringing the investigation into this brutal crime to a swift conclusion.
