An officer sustained minor injuries earlier this week following a collision with a box truck while responding to a breaking and entering call in Charlotte. The officer's injuries are not severe, and they are expected to make a full recovery. While fellow officers tended to their injured colleague, others continued to address the initial emergency.
Authorities arrived at vacant apartment units to interrupt an ongoing theft of appliances. Two suspects, Dominique Guy Rorie Jr., 22, and Tre'varre Pressley-Gamble, 21, were subsequently arrested. They face charges including two counts each of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, felony conspiracy, and resisting an officer. A third individual was detained at the scene but was not charged.
