Tragedy struck in Chandigarh's Sector 41 on Thursday afternoon when a woman and her brother-in-law were found dead in their residence. The deceased have been identified as Nagma, aged 27, and Murshleen, aged 24, who were originally from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. Both individuals reportedly died by hanging within the house, a disturbing incident that occurred while Nagma's young children slept in the same dwelling. Authorities have not yet recovered any suicide note from the premises.
The harrowing discovery was initiated when Nagma's husband, Faraan, who was in Uttar Pradesh at the time, attempted a video call. His four-year-old son answered, informing his father of the grim situation. Faraan then alerted a cousin, who visited the house and subsequently alerted the police upon finding both individuals deceased. Police and a CFSL team inspected the scene for evidence. While initial indications point towards a suicide pact, the precise cause of death awaits confirmation from the pending autopsy and forensic reports.
