In Chandauli district, police have launched the 'Pabandi' portal, a technology-driven platform designed to improve the handling of sensitive cases and preventive legal proceedings. This initiative, implemented under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Aditya Langeh, focuses on continuously monitoring cases registered under Sections 126 and 135 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
The portal's primary objective is to bolster district-level law and order by ensuring effective oversight of preventive policing measures. It tracks disputes related to property, public peace, women's safety, communal tensions, and election rivalries, thereby increasing transparency and accountability.
Powered by Artificial Intelligence, the 'Pabandi' portal automatically categorizes cases by risk level upon initial entry. AI assists in identifying repeat offenders, ensuring follow-ups, and flagging pending actions. To date, the portal has actively reviewed and monitored more than 5,000 preventive action cases across the district.
