In a major breakthrough in the Delhi Red Fort car blast case, investigators have secured over 50 CCTV footages that provide a detailed timeline of the terror suspect's movements prior to the explosion. According to the visuals, Dr. Umar Nabi's Hyundai i20 car was seen at multiple locations across Delhi-NCR, from Faridabad to Turkman Gate, before he entered the capital through the Badarpur border.
The CCTV footage trail shows Umar traveling via the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, spending the night at a roadside dhaba, and even sleeping inside his car. He is then seen visiting a mosque near Turkman Gate and parking near the Sunehri Masjid at the Red Fort, where he waited for nearly three hours before the deadly blast occurred.
Meanwhile, the probe's focus has shifted to Faridabad's Khandauli village, where a red Ford EcoSport suspected to have moved alongside Umar's car has been found abandoned. The area has been cordoned off as NSG commandos and forensic teams inspect the vehicle for explosives and trace evidence. With every passing day, new leads are tightening the net around the terror module, as the NIA, ATS, and NSG jointly expand the investigation.
