Summary
- Caregivers allegedly locked toddlers in a washing machine.
- Children were sprayed with toilet jets and shoved into bathrooms.
- Capgemini temporarily closed the facility amid a police investigation.

Bengaluru police have initiated an investigation after videos emerged showing disturbing abuse of toddlers at an on-campus daycare for Capgemini employees. Five caregivers have been booked under the Juvenile Justice Act. The alleged mistreatment included locking children in washing machines, spraying water into their mouths with toilet jets, and confining them in bathrooms.
These incidents came to light on June 25, when a child protection officer received disturbing videos via WhatsApp. The footage, reportedly filmed by a former staffer, led to an FIR being registered on June 29. The toddlers, aged two to three, were reportedly subjected to these abuses to silence them when crying.
Capgemini has temporarily closed the daycare facility as a precautionary measure and is fully cooperating with the authorities. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and plan to record statements from parents to ascertain if any signs of mistreatment were previously noticed.
