Camden Man Charged in Deadly East Camden Shooting

A Camden man, Eric Irizarry, 45, has been charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting incident that occurred on June 9. The victim, 24-year-old Luis J. The shooting took place near Baird Boulevard and Boyd Street in East Camden around 12:20 a.m. Bonet was transported to a hospital where he later died.
Authorities announced that Irizarry faces charges including murder and two weapons offenses. He was formally charged on June 10 and subsequently surrendered to law enforcement two days later. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office made the arrest announcement on June 18. Irizarry is currently detained at Camden County Jail.
