A domestic dispute in Parsia village, Buxar, tragically culminated in the death of Rekha Devi, aged 35, on Friday. Her husband, Shravan Ram, is accused of repeatedly striking her on the head with a wooden plank while she was sleeping following a dispute. The violence did not stop there. When Dimple Devi, 30, the wife of the accused's younger brother and Rekha's sister-in-law, intervened, Shravan Ram attacked her as well, causing serious injuries.
Dimple Devi was taken to Sadar Hospital, Buxar, where her condition is described as critical. The Industrial Area police station team responded to the scene, secured Rekha Devi's body for postmortem examination, and initiated an investigation. According to reports, both brothers were married into the same family. The accused, Shravan Ram, has fled the area, and law enforcement is conducting raids to apprehend him. Authorities are appealing for information to aid in his capture.
