- Airport immigration officials discovered the woman used a declared lost passport.

A Pune businessman's attempt to deceive his wife about an international trip led to a surprising turn of events at Mumbai International Airport. The 46-year-old businessman had informed his wife he was traveling to Kuala Lumpur for business, but was actually accompanied by another woman.
During immigration checks, officials flagged the woman for using an old passport previously reported as lost. This discovery prompted the businessman to abandon his trip and accompany the woman to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. He then contacted his wife from a landline, fabricating an immigration-related mobile phone issue.
Following further communication with his wife, the businessman's phone became unreachable. His wife, concerned, filed a kidnapping FIR with the police. Subsequently, upon learning of the FIR, the businessman appeared at the Sahar police station and admitted to staging the entire immigration issue to conceal his affair.
Authorities have stated they will file a 'C Summary' closure report with the court. This classification is used for cases registered due to a genuine mistake of fact or situations found to be neither entirely true nor false, expected to be completed within two weeks.
