In Bulandshahr, a court has delivered a significant judgment, sentencing a 25-year-old man to two decades of rigorous imprisonment for the egregious crimes of kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old student. His father has also been incarcerated, receiving a three-year sentence for his involvement in the kidnapping.
The incident occurred on October 22, 2021, when the Class X student disappeared while en route to school. Investigations revealed she was abducted and sexually assaulted by the son at his residence, with the father reportedly standing guard outside. Medical examinations later confirmed the sexual assault.
The court, presided over by additional district judge Manoj Kumar Singh, imposed fines of Rs 46,000 on the son and Rs 3,000 on the father. Special public prosecutor Mahesh Raghav highlighted the violation of the victim's dignity and personal liberty, underscoring the necessity for severe punishment.
