On the morning of September 29th, 2025, a 36-year-old woman was the victim of a horrific assault in her Bronx apartment building. Around 5 am, the woman was approached in the hallway by 21-year-old Kenneth Siriboe, a homeless man. Siriboe allegedly placed his hand over the woman's mouth, squeezed her throat, and forced her to the ground, punching her repeatedly before raping her.
Terrified, the woman begged Siriboe to stop the assault and even offered him money, but he continued the attack. After the rape, Siriboe stole the victim's Coach purse, wallet, $250 in cash, her identification card, and keys before fleeing the scene.
Footage released by the New York Police Department showed Siriboe running down the stairwell shortly after the incident, with a towel around his neck and appearing to pull up his pants. Siriboe was tracked down and arrested the following day inside another Bronx building, about two miles away from the scene of the attack.
Siriboe was arraigned on Monday evening and charged with multiple offenses, including rape, robbery, burglary, grand larceny, and criminal obstruction of breathing. A judge ordered him held on $30,000 bail, and his next court appearance is scheduled for this Friday.
