A British events organiser has died and his girlfriend was hospitalized following an alleged incident of spiked drinks during a holiday in Bangkok, Thailand. Tom Pardhy, 38, passed away on March 6, with his family describing his death as sudden and unexpected. His girlfriend, Naomi Raksha, 31, was rushed to the hospital and is recovering after being intubated in ICU due to poisoning and a subsequent cardiac arrest.
Pardhy, a popular London-based figure in the music and events industry, had been traveling in Thailand for six weeks with Raksha. His family confirmed his death on March 11, with the Foreign Office stating they are supporting the family and in contact with local authorities. Raksha has since shared her gratitude for being alive, stating Pardhy saved her life and admitting herself into a rehabilitation center for physical and psychological recovery.
It is believed that Pardhy's cremation will take place in Bangkok. He had a decade-long career in the events sector, managing stages at various festivals and co-founding his own events company. Outside his professional life, he was also a life coach, youth mentor, and yoga instructor.
