A man in his 30s is in critical but stable condition following a suspected homophobic hate crime in Bristol. He was found unconscious with serious facial injuries on St Nicholas Street in the early hours of April 24th. Another man suffered minor injuries during the same incident.
Authorities believe three to four men attacked the victim. The suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot before entering a car. Police are actively investigating the possibility of a homophobic motive, based on information provided by the second victim. Local LGBTQ+ leaders and anti-racism groups have been briefed.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the attack around 03:15 BST or has any information to contact Avon and Somerset Police. While the investigation is ongoing, there is currently no evidence suggesting a wider public risk.
