A tragic murder occurred at a brick kiln in Chaughan village after a minor dispute over slippers escalated into violence. The incident unfolded last week under the Ramtek police station limits, leading to the swift arrest of four accused individuals by the police within just two hours.
The victim, identified along with a complainant from Dhabadih village in Chhattisgarh, worked at Salim Khan Vit Bhatta. The fatal altercation began on April 5 when the deceased accidentally wore the slippers of one of the accused, Umesh Nishad, who publicly labeled him a thief.
This accusation deeply offended the victim. Later that evening, when the complainant and the deceased confronted Umesh Nishad, a verbal argument ensued. The situation turned deadly when Umesh, along with Ganesh Nishad, Sunil Nishad, and Itwari Nishad, allegedly attacked the pair with lathis and sticks, resulting in fatal injuries to one victim.
