Brian Walshe has admitted to dismembering his wife, Ana Walshe, and disposing of her remains in dumpsters across Massachusetts. He pleaded guilty to charges of willfully conveying a human body and misleading police just before his murder trial commenced. The mother of three, Ana Walshe, vanished on New Year's Eve in 2022, and her body has not been found.
Prosecutors allege Brian Walshe killed his wife, believing she was having an affair, and then researched methods for body disposal and DNA removal. He has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge and faces a potential life sentence without parole if convicted. His trial is currently underway, with opening statements having begun on December 1, 2025.
In addition to the murder charge, Brian Walshe was previously sentenced to 37 months in prison for a multi-year art fraud scheme involving Andy Warhol paintings. He also pleaded guilty to wire fraud and interstate transportation charges in 2021. The court has ordered a mental health evaluation for him as part of the ongoing proceedings.
