A courageous bulldog named Roxy has found a loving home after enduring a severe head wound sustained during a hammer attack. This incident occurred in late November in Doncaster, England, when Roxy was assaulted as she tried to shield her seven young puppies.
Following the attack, police discovered Roxy with a significant head injury. Animal welfare officers from the RSPCA Doncaster and Rotherham Animal Centre intervened, providing Roxy and her litter of seven bulldog-cross puppies with urgent veterinary care and a safe environment. The puppies, named Blue, Duke, Edward, Maria, Melody, Piper, and Ruset, were around five weeks old at the time.
Months after the incident, Roxy has made a remarkable recovery. The RSPCA announced on March 15th that Roxy has been placed in a loving home. Her seven puppies have also successfully moved on to their own new beginnings, completing their journey to safety and happiness.
