Award-Winning Boxing Coach's Coaching Career Ends Amid Abuse

A distinguished national and international boxing coach has seen his 25-year career come to an abrupt end following serious sexual assault convictions. The coach, who had previously competed for a British title and narrowly missed the Seoul Olympics, was recognized for his significant contributions to the sport.

As a talent scout for England Boxing, he was instrumental in nurturing the development of over 100 national champions. However, his professional achievements are now overshadowed by the court's findings regarding two separate sexual assaults against a victim.

The court detailed harrowing experiences, including the victim describing a terrifying struggle and feeling the coach was attempting to rape her. The assaults had a profound and damaging impact on her life, leading to a five-year restraining order against the former coach.
