Two individuals who were first responders during the Bondi terrorist attack have found love and are planning to marry later this year. Content creator James McIntosh, 46, and physiotherapist Alexandra Edmondson, 35, were new friends and had just completed a surf lifesaving course when the attack occurred.
They raced to help seven victims, providing critical first aid and then transporting an injured man to the hospital. During this harrowing experience, their bond deepened, evolving from friendship to a romantic relationship. They moved in together by Boxing Day and became engaged during a holiday in Mexico.
The couple plans to marry in November and has aspirations to start a family. They are also considering an offer to be the first non-Jewish couple to marry at Bondi's Central Synagogue, seeing it as a way to strengthen the community during a time of healing.
