An incident near the Liffey Valley shopping centre bus terminal led to the arrest of a man in his 30s under public order legislation.
Emergency services, including gardai and Dublin Fire Brigade, were alerted to the scene on Wednesday evening. The Defence Forces' Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was requested by An Garda Siochana around 8:20 PM to assess a "suspect device" found in the Liffey Valley area of Co Dublin.
Upon arrival, the EOD team determined the device to be "non-viable." Following this assessment, the scene was secured and then handed over to gardai. Traffic restrictions were in place earlier in the evening around Liffey Valley as fire services responded.
