A brave staff member managed to disarm the attacker, while another helped move the injured customer to safety. Both staff and customers were unharmed, and the cafe confirmed this after the event.
Greater Manchester Police responded promptly. Two individuals were treated for stab-related injuries, neither of which were life-threatening. A man in his 50s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Mike Sharples stated that extensive inquiries are underway, emphasizing that this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
