On September 29, 2025, a domestic worker in Hyderabad, India, filed a police complaint against Bollywood actress Dimple Hayathi and her husband David. The 22-year-old worker, Priyanka Bibar from Odisha, alleged that she has faced constant humiliation, denial of proper food, and excessive workload since starting work at the couple's home in Banjara Hills.
Priyanka claimed that she was insulted with remarks such as, "Your life is not even equal to my shoes." The dispute reportedly escalated, with Priyanka alleging that Dimple and David threatened her, tried to assault her, and damaged her phone when she attempted to record the altercation. She also claimed her clothes were torn during the scuffle and that she narrowly escaped before approaching the police with help from her agent.
The Film Nagar police in Hyderabad have registered a case against Dimple Hayathi and her husband under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. As of October 1, 2025, the 27-year-old actress, who made her acting debut in 2017, has not yet responded to the allegations.
