In Bokaro, two individuals, 22-year-old Mohammad Ibrahim and 23-year-old Muzammil, have received life sentences following their conviction in a 2024 road rage murder case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on each of the convicted men.
The incident occurred on October 5, 2024, when the victim, Ankit Kumar, was traveling on a motorcycle. A confrontation arose when Muzammil, riding his own bike, nearly collided with Ankit. Ankit’s request for Muzammil to slow down escalated into an abusive exchange.
The dispute turned violent when Muzammil, along with Ibrahim, physically attacked Ankit with a knife. Ankit succumbed to his injuries sustained during the assault. The court found the two guilty under various sections of the BNS Act, including section 115(2) read with 3(5), and sentenced them concurrently.
