Blackmail Victim's Lover Assaults Blackmailer in Dramatic Flyover Confrontation

On October 25th, 2025, a dramatic confrontation unfolded on a flyover in Salem, Tamil Nadu. A 30-year-old man, identified as Suresh alias Brahmanayagam, was arrested for allegedly blackmailing a minor girl with her photos and videos.

The girl's 18-year-old lover, Ramakrishnan, confronted Suresh and demanded that he delete the incriminating material. However, Suresh not only refused but also verbally abused and assaulted Ramakrishnan. In retaliation, Ramakrishnan and two of his friends, one of them a minor, attacked Suresh.

A passer-by witnessed the incident and recorded it, sharing the video on social media. As the footage went viral, the Salem City Police Commissioner, Anil Kumar Giri, formed a special team to investigate the matter. Based on the confessional statements of Ramakrishnan and his friends, the police were able to apprehend Suresh, who was later remanded to the Salem Central Prison under judicial custody.

The incident highlights the growing problem of cybercrime and the need for stronger measures to protect vulnerable individuals, especially minors, from exploitation.
