Kristian Lleshi, 35, and Xhuljana Trimi, 29, have been sentenced to prison terms after being found with a large quantity of cannabis and over £51,000 in cash at their home in Birmingham. Investigators from the National Crime Agency discovered approximately 9kg of cannabis, along with numerous high-value items, hidden within the property. Lleshi received a sentence of two years and seven months, while Trimi was sentenced to 18 months. Both pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug and acquiring criminal property.
The NCA found two bin bags in the loft containing 7kg of cannabis, with an additional 2kg located on the landing. The substantial sum of £51,450 was discovered concealed in various spots around the house. Trimi claimed she was unaware of the drugs and cash, stating she had only known Lleshi for three months and they were not in a relationship. However, evidence from her Facebook page indicated they had been in a relationship since at least 2023. The Albanian nationals were arrested at the property in September of last year.
