A fatal land dispute incident occurred on Saturday night in Navtolia village, Banka district, Bihar. Surendra Prasad, a 70-year-old resident, was shot inside his home by two unknown armed men who forcefully entered the premises.
Despite immediate efforts by family and villagers to transport him to a hospital, Prasad passed away from his wounds before law enforcement could reach the scene. The assailants fled promptly after the shooting, leaving the community in shock.
Police have initiated a thorough investigation, with the Belhar SDPO and SHO visiting the location. A forensic team collected evidence, and the body was sent for a post-mortem examination. Officials suspect a land dispute as the motive and are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspects.
