14 Dec
Summary
- Bible study group leader arrested for lewd acts with minor.
- Accused of sexually abusing a victim aged 12-13.
- Investigators believe there may be additional victims.
A Southern California man, Cameron Taylor Heath, 39, was arrested on December 4th by the Orange County Sheriff's Department on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts involving a minor under 14. The arrest followed an investigation initiated by a call for service in October.
Investigators uncovered evidence indicating Heath had sexually abused a male victim who was between 12 and 13 years old during the alleged incidents. Authorities stated that the victim reported being abused by Heath, who was known as the leader of a bible study group.
Heath was associated with Generations Church in Placentia and previously ran an "Action Kids" youth fitness center. He also led a bible study group called "The Branch" and founded "Deed and Truth Ministries." Given his history of working with minors, investigators are concerned about the possibility of additional victims and urge anyone with information to contact the Special Victims Detail.
