Bhopal Man Busted for Counterfeit Currency Operation

On November 14, 2025, police in Bhopal arrested a 21-year-old man for running a counterfeit currency operation from his home. The accused, identified as Vivek Yadav, a resident of Karond in Bhopal, was found circulating fake Rs 500 notes in the Nizamuddin area.
During the investigation, police discovered that Yadav had set up a sophisticated counterfeiting setup in his residence. They seized fake notes worth over Rs 2 lakh, along with a printer, cutting tools, special paper, and other equipment used in the operation. Yadav confessed to circulating Rs 5-6 lakh worth of counterfeit currency in the market.
