Old Dispute Ignites Knife Attack in Bhopal

In Bhopal, a 31-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, Salman Khan, was critically injured in a knife attack late Wednesday night. The assailant has been identified as Anas Ansari, a former acquaintance with whom Khan had an ongoing dispute from when Khan was a tenant in Ansari's property.
The altercation took place near Budhwara Square, close to a police outpost. Following a heated argument stemming from their old rivalry, Ansari allegedly attacked Khan with a knife before fleeing the scene. Khan sustained severe injuries to his back and hands as he attempted to defend himself.
Authorities have registered a case of attempt to murder against Ansari, who reportedly has two previous criminal cases. A search is currently underway to apprehend him.
